For 60 years now, our house has stood for genuine hospitality and honest cuisine.

Our roots are Italian, yet the cuisine of our delightfully unconventional owner and head chef, Mariusz, combines this tradition with German and Polish influences – fresh, modern, and full of passion.

Our focus is on homemade pasta, prepared from the finest ingredients and crafted by hand. We work exclusively with high-quality products, selected with great care: fresh vegetables from regional farms, eggs from happy hens, the finest Italian specialties from Andronaco, as well as selected delicacies from Frischeparadies, whose partner business we are proud to be.

Our new concept: an intentionally small menu, consisting of a core menu and a daily changing selection. This allows us to cook in small quantities, always fresh and creative – while using every ingredient with care and respect.

Our Italian wine selection has been curated with great love and expertise – in close collaboration with our friend and sommelier Cosimo Signoriello. Every bottle has been carefully chosen to accompany our cuisine perfectly and complete the dining experience.

In my opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in Hamburg. Rather inconspicuous from the outside, but we were warmly welcomed by the staff in the cozy restaurant in the basement. Feeling good is guaranteed. Top food and drinks. The homemade pasta is a treat for the palate. We noticed straight away that they cook with a lot of love and high-quality products. Great value for money. All in all, we had a wonderful and unforgettable evening and can only recommend everyone to visit IL Buco for themselves.

We came across this restaurant by chance. We received an extremely friendly welcome. The service was very attentive and the food exceeded our expectations. Both the starter and the main course were of a high standard in terms of appearance and taste. The only small point of criticism is the fact that it is not immediately clear when making a reservation that the table is only booked for less than 2 hours. With this visit to Il Buco, we have found a new restaurant in our part of town that we will be happy to visit more often in future.

Inconspicuously located, but a small culinary revelation is the Italian restaurant Il Buco with its very appealing menu, on which every guest can find something suitable. It starts with homemade focaccia bread, which can be dipped in good olive oil and tastes delicious. We have already been guests at Il Buco twice as a family, have chosen a wide variety of starters and main courses and have always been completely satisfied. In addition, the small restaurant, which is always full and located in the cellar, but very attractively furnished, impresses with its extremely attentive service, where Dustin in particular stands out with his unobtrusive care and cheerful manner. We will gladly return there on our next visit to Hamburg.
